The year 2013 was probably just as creative and productive as 2012, however as a reviewer I was somewhat intentionally less engaged. That said I did include Jonathan Butler and Blackmore’s Night albums that could be questionable, not because of the quality but the minimal amount of instrumental music they included. What was not in doubt was the tremendous comeback album of Bradley Joseph’s Paint the Sky but on any given day the creations from any of the artists in my Top Five could be ranked very differently. It was that close. Probably one of the reasons my counterpart does not rank her favorites.
In addition to these 15 albums, I should mention Eleven Eleven by Exchange was an honorable mention.
And as always I want to thank the artists that were willing to risk a critique and also spend part of their promotional budget by investing in a review. Thank you for that honor.
